Our Approach to Ethical ABA
At Erica Tober ABA Consulting, we believe ABA should support the whole child through compassionate, relationship-based, and ethical care.

What Does Good ABA Look Like?
Child-Led & Individualized
Good ABA starts with your child. Goals are personalized, developmentally appropriate, and built around strengths, interests, and family values.
Communication Comes First
Good ABA prioritizes communication in all forms: spoken language, gestures, AAC, or pictures, helping children express needs, feelings, and choices.
Relationship-Based & Respectful
Trust and connection come first. Therapists follow the child’s lead, support autonomy (including honoring “no”), and never use force or fear-based strategies.
Meaningful, Real-Life Skills
Goals focus on daily routines, emotional regulation, social connection, and independence—skills that matter at home, school, and in the community.
Ethical & Evidence-Based
Good ABA uses research-supported strategies while prioritizing dignity, safety, and emotional well-being. Harmful or outdated practices have no place in quality care.
Family-Centered Collaboration
Families are active partners. You should feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
